Participation in Gran Rondo Veluwe - Social Rondo

Registration is open from January 1, 2026, until September 1, 2026, at the latest.‎

Participants under 18 may participate only with written permission from a parent or guardian and under the supervision of an adult.

Rondo riders

As a Rondo rider you receive a discount and pay only a small contribution (€7) for two refreshments. If you are logged in your discount will be processed automatically in your starting list.

The greatest circle of the Veluwe – a natural loop at its finest; ride through forests and heathlands, past charming villages, and keep your eyes open for wildlife.

An iconic round, perfectly mapped out by hand into a super fun, bike-friendly route full of beautiful highlights and a unique circle on the map. 🚴‍♂️✨

To put this rondo on the map, you’ll ride an impressive loop through the most beautiful parts of the Veluwe.

You leave Veluwezoom National Park near Dieren and cycle beautifully along the IJssel on the eastern side of the loop, where the road route includes a few surprising gravel sections!

Once you reach the north, you trade the river landscape for the vast, rolling forests and heathlands around Elspeet and Vierhouten. After a sweeping crossing via Voorthuizen and the impressive Ginkelse Heide, you head towards Arnhem.

The sting is definitely in the tail here, with a challenging series of steep climbs, including the Emmapiramide, Zijpenberg and, of course, the Posbank. After 160 km (road route) or 150 km (gravel route) in the saddle, you return to the starting point. The circle is complete!

Narrow tires? No problem! The route is fully paved, with approximately 2 km of gravel.

Gravel bike? Then choose the gravel variant, with approximately 50% unpaved/gravel sections.

🕒 PROGRAM & INFO

8:30 ☕ Meet & Greet

Welcome at Carolinahoeve in De Steeg with the first round of coffee/tea on us. Check in and grab some fuel for the journey.

~9:00 🚴 Let's Rondo!

Hop on your bike and get started. Join a friendly group at your preferred pace. We cycle the route counterclockwise.

~11:30 🚰 Rest stop

Rest stop halfway along the road route at De Zwarte Boer in Ermelo and along the gravel route at Buitenplaats 't Loo in Ermelo. Fill your water bottles here and take a bathroom break. If you like, take some time to relax on the terrace and order something delicious from the menu at your own expense.

~15:30 🍻 The circle is complete!

Now relax and enjoy the finish location at De Carolinahoeve. De Carolinahoeve closes at 17:00. The first round is on us!

Round-up

What points of attention are there on the route?

The route is fully paved, with approximately 2 km of gravel.

For some sections of the gravel route, you need an MTB permit or day pass from Natuurmonumenten. Order one at natuurmonumenten.nl/mtb/dagpas.

You have registered. Where can you find the GPX?

Here are the steps to find the gpx:

  1. Go to account.granrondo.cc
  2. Enter the exact same email address you used to place the order.
  3. You will receive a verification code by email that you need to enter.
  4. In your account at Rondogidsen, you will see the Rondo you purchased. The GPX is on the Rondo guide page.

Can I also exchange or transfer my ticket?

No refunds are possible after the purchase of tickets.

If you are unable to attend this event, you can go "On an Adventure Yourself" on another date with the received Round Guide and route files. Other event provisions and extras (such as drinks) will be forfeited, without refund.

Tickets are personal and non-transferable to others.

How much of your donation goes to KiKa?

100% to KiKa
If you add this round to your start list, you can make a voluntary contribution. The entire amount will go to KiKa.
