Participation in the Wallonia 400 Challenge

Registration is open from November 1, 2026 until June 1, 2026 at the latest, or until the participation limit of 150 participants is reached.

The minimum age to participate is 18.

Check-in is available at Café Coureur Houffalize at the start of the event on Friday, July 9, 2027, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., or on Saturday morning, July 10, 2027, from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The group start is on Saturday, July 10, 2027, at 6:00 a.m. at Café Coureur Houffalize. Starting earlier or later is not permitted.

GPS live tracker

You will be provided with a GPS live tracker on loan at check-in and will be responsible for it from the moment it is issued. You must carry the tracker switched on throughout the entire event.

The tracker must be returned as soon as possible after the finish, and no later than Monday, July 12, 2027, at the finish location - Café Coureur Houffalize. If you fail to do so, you must contact the organizer to arrange for the tracker to be sent to another address.

For a duo registration, you share one GPS tracker. Duos must ride together for the entire route. Exception: if one of the two participants has to abandon the ride prematurely and out of necessity, the other may continue solo with the tracker.

Cycle the greatest circle of Wallonia (400km) - An epic ride through the Belgium Ardennes, from the Citadel of Namur to the rugged forests around Bastogne.

To put this loop on the map, you’ll ride through the heart of Wallonia, which is greener, wilder, and quieter than you ever expected.

Get ready for what may be your best-ever bike ride in the Benelux, starting from Café Coureur Houffalize. There will be plenty of climbing, with breathtaking views over the Ardennes.

The Meuse winds through a fairytale landscape past picturesque Dinant to the Citadel of Namur. From Liège onward, the route takes in the Blegny mine, the historic town of Limbourg, and the imposing Gileppe Dam. The absolute highlight awaits on Belgium’s highest plateau: the Hautes Fagnes, with dozens of kilometers through pristine nature.

After 400 km of pedaling, you’ll reach the point where you started. The circle is complete!

Gravel bike? Then take the gravel route, featuring mostly unpaved sections through the forests, country lanes, and the finest gravel tracks in the Ardennes.

Narrow tires? Then take the road route! The route runs entirely on paved roads.

Friday, July 9 👋 Meet & Greet

From midday, Café Coureur Houffalize opens its doors for check-in. Soak up the atmosphere and take your time to meet other participants, go for a warm-up ride and/or get your bike ready. In the evening, the pasta buffet opens for participants with the Café Coureur Package.

Saturday, July 10 🚴 Let's Rondo!

The group start is at exactly 6:00. 400 epic kilometers through the Ardennes. Choose your own pace or join a friendly group. There are 3 checkpoints along the way where you can buy food and drinks. Decide for yourself whether to ride it in one go or find a place to stay overnight along the way.

Sunday, July 11 🍻 Finish Party

The finish is at Café Coureur Houffalize open from Saturday evening until Monday evening. So it's no problem if you arrive at night or not until Monday. Get your final stamp, receive your patch as a reward, and now relax and enjoy! The first round is on us.

Every participant rides with a GPS tracker. Your friends, family, and fans can follow the moving dots live on the map. There’s a live leaderboard tracking times and positions.

Round-up

What points of attention are there on the route?

The gravel route consists of 50% unpaved/gravel sections. We recommend a gravel bike/MTB with tires at least 50/60 mm wide. Front suspension is a worthwhile extra.

The road route runs entirely on paved roads.

You have registered. Where can you find the GPX?

Here are the steps to find the gpx:

  1. Go to account.granrondo.cc
  2. Enter the exact same email address you used to place the order.
  3. You will receive a verification code by email that you need to enter.
  4. In your account at Rondogidsen, you will see the Rondo you purchased. The GPX is on the Rondo guide page.

Can I also exchange or transfer my ticket?

No refunds are possible after the purchase of tickets.

If you are unable to attend this event, you can go "On an Adventure Yourself" on another date with the received Round Guide and route files. Other event provisions and extras (such as drinks) will be forfeited, without refund.

Tickets are personal and non-transferable to others.

How much of your donation goes to KiKa?
