The greatest circle of Belgium. - RVV meets LBL. Brace yourself for the Flemish-Walloon double classic!

An iconic loop, hand-plotted to perfection into a super fun, bike-friendly route full of beautiful highlights — and a unique circle on the map. 🚴‍♂️✨

To put this round on the map, you need to have a serious dose of grit! On this journey, you will pass through truly fantastic regions, including the Flemish Ardennes, the Walloon Ardennes, and the beautiful Kempen. In the Flemish Ardennes, a true Flanders Classics section awaits: here you can show off for 40 km on notorious cobblestone stretches and steep climbs, including the Waterrad, Lange Munte, Lippenhovenstraat, Paddestraat, Molenberg, Haaghoek, Leberg, Berendries, and Valkenberg.

All the way in the south, you flirt with the French border and tackle the rolling Walloon Ardennes. Expect a significant number of tough climbs here, including the Côte des Quatre Chemins (4.8 km at 4.6%), Barque de Conjoux, Côte de Namorimont, Côte de Bonsin, and of course the Côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons (4.4 km at 5.4%) – a famous judge in the finale of Liège-Bastogne-Liège. After a smooth passage through Liège and the Dutch border at Maastricht, you roll through the beautiful forest areas of the Kempen. After at least 575 km of suffering on the pedals, you finally arrive at the finish. The circle is complete. Hats off!

Narrow tires? That works perfectly! The route is entirely on paved roads.

Gravel bike? Then take the gravel variant of 600 km with 290 km of unpaved/gravel sections.

Can you ride every day this Rondo?

Go on an adventure
Cycle this round whenever you want. You don't need to provide a date.

When there are large tours or cycling races, parts of the route may not be accessible or may have limited access. Check the competition calendar and  tour calendar

What is the starting point?

You can start anywhere on the circle.

Are you coming from further away? If possible, start a catering location on the route, so that you can start or end with a drink and/or a tasty (drink) snack.

What is the recommended riding direction?

Go on an adventure
This route is designed to be cycled counterclockwise. This is the most beautiful for the climbs and views and the most practical due to fewer crossings and traffic lights.

Starting from Antwerp, it is advisable to cycle it counterclockwise and first take the bike bus due to construction work on the Lillobrug in Antwerp.

If you still want to cycle it clockwise, take the loop at the Molenberg in reverse.

What to expect on the route?

Due to work on the Lillobrug in Antwerp, a Bike Bus is being deployed.

Detours are possible by cycling along the Scheldt via Antwerp City through the St. Anna Tunnel (+30km).
