The Route

Road route ⟲84km ⇗80m

The greatest circle of Flevoland - A loop through the largest polder in the world from Lelystad Nature Park, past the Veluwemeer, Drontermeer, Randmeerbossen, and the Ketelmeer.

A beautiful round, perfectly outlined by hand – a lovely circle on the map and a super fun, bike-friendly route full of unique highlights. 🚴‍♂️✨

To put this rondo on the map, you will face the elements at the bottom of the sea. On the expansive polder roads and dikes, the wind is your most loyal companion! Fortunately, you can catch your breath in the young, lush forests along the route, including Harderbos and Gelderse Hout.

Along the Veluwemeer and Ketelmeer, you are treated to stunning views of sandy beaches and vast waters. You will encounter surprising highlights such as Lelystad Airport, the striking Anacondabrug, and Lelystad Nature Park (the place to spot storks!). And don't forget to enjoy the passage at 'Cycling to Sea Level', a unique reminder of the history of this area. After about 84km on the pedals, you reach the point where you started. The circle is complete!

Narrow tires? That works perfectly! The route consists entirely of paved roads.

Can you ride every day this Rondo?

Self-guided adventure
Ride this route whenever you like. You don't need to specify a date.

During major tours or cycling races, parts of the route may be inaccessible or limited. For more information, please check the cycling calendar and on the website of the NDW does not work on mobile).

What is the starting point?

You can start anywhere on the circle.

Are you coming from further away? If possible, start a catering location on the route, so that you can start or end with a drink and/or a tasty (drink) snack.

What is the recommended riding direction?

Self-guided adventure
This route is designed to be cycled counterclockwise. This is the most beautiful route, offering the best views and the most practical due to fewer pedestrian crossings and traffic lights.

Events
At events we cycle counter-clockwise.

is cancellation or exchange possible?

Upon placing your order, you receive immediate access to the Rondoguide and GPX files. Just like donations to charity, digital files are non-returnable. Consequently, orders cannot be cancelled or refunded.d.

Events
If you are unable to attend an event, you can go on a Self-guided adventure on another date using the digital Rondoguide and route files. Event extras (such as drinks) will be forfeited. No refunds will be provided.
