The largest circle of the province of Liège - From the foot of La Redoute, you breathe the race! A heroic round that exchanges the steep walls of the Ardennes for the lovely Land of Herve. Conquer the climbs around Stavelot and taste history in every kilometer. Go!

An iconic loop, hand-plotted to perfection into a super fun, bike-friendly route full of beautiful highlights — and a unique circle on the map. 🚴‍♂️✨

To put this round on the map, you need to have some serious fuel in the tank — because with 3000 meters of elevation over 188 km, the province of Liège gives no inch for free.

In the north, you explore the rolling Land of Herve via RAVel 39 and the historic Eyneburg Castle, before the route towards the east quickly starts to bite. Along the Hautes-Fagnes — the highest plateau in Belgium — you briefly touch the German border at the customs office in Mützenich and glide over the Pannensterkopf (665 m) through the Kochelscheider Wald. The Vennbahn, the legendary bike path along a former railway line, takes you through one of the most remote corners of the Ardennes.
In the south, a grand finale awaits: the Warche Valley beckons with stunning panoramas, Gran Coo thunders its waterfalls down, and via the Chession Climb and the Parc naturel des Sources, you head towards the home stretch. It starts with one last thump — La Redoute, the most notorious climb from Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Anyone who still accelerates here deserves the podium. After 188 km on the pedals, you reach the point where you started. The circle is complete!

Narrow straps? That works perfectly! The route is entirely on paved roads.

Gravel bike? Then take the gravel variant of 207 km with extra unpaved sections through the High Fens and the Ardennes forests.

Can you ride every day this Rondo?

Go on an adventure
Ride this round whenever you want. You don't have to provide a date.

When there are large tours or cycling competitions, parts of the route may not be accessible or may have limited access. Check the competition calendar and  tour calendar.

What is the starting point?

You can start anywhere on the circle.

Are you coming from further away? If possible, start a catering location on the route, so that you can start or end with a drink and/or a tasty (drink) snack.

What is the recommended riding direction?

Go on an adventure
This round is designed to be cycled counterclockwise. This is the most beautiful and practical due to fewer crossings and traffic lights.

Events
For events, we cycle it counterclockwise.

What to expect on the route?

The route is entirely on paved roads.

The gravel route contains 40% unpaved / gravel sections.
