An iconic loop, hand-plotted to perfection into a super fun, bike-friendly route full of beautiful highlights — and a unique circle on the map. 🚴‍♂️✨

To put this rondo on the map, you will ride through the heart of Wallonia, which is greener, wilder, and quieter than you ever expected.

Get ready for perhaps the most beautiful bike ride ever in the Benelux starting from Café Coureur Houffalize. It will be quite a climb, but the views over the Ardennes are breathtaking. The Meuse winds through a fairytale landscape along the picturesque Dinant up to the Citadel of Namur. From Liège, the route is colored by the Blegny mine, the historic town of Limbourg, and the impressive Gileppe Dam. The absolute highlight awaits at the highest plateau of Belgium: the Hautes-Fagnes with dozens of kilometers through unspoiled nature. After 400 km on the pedals, you will reach the point where you started. The circle is complete!

Narrow tires? That works perfectly! The route is entirely on paved roads.

Gravel bike? Then take the gravel variant of 400 km with mostly unpaved sections through the forests, country roads, and the most beautiful gravel paths through the Ardennes.

Can you ride every day this Rondo?

Go on an adventure
Ride this round whenever you want. You don't have to provide a date.

When there are large tours or cycling competitions, parts of the route may not be accessible or may have limited access. Check the competition calendar and tour calendar.

What is the starting point?

You can start anywhere on the circle.

Are you coming from further away? If possible, start a catering location on the route, so that you can start or end with a drink and/or a tasty (drink) snack.

What is the recommended riding direction?

Go on an adventure
This round is designed to cycle clockwise. This is the most beautiful and practical due to fewer crossing points and traffic lights.

Events
For events, we cycle it clockwise.

What to expect on the route?

The gravel route consists of 50% unpaved / gravel sections. The recommendation is wide tires of at least 50/60mm, about 90% of the off-road paths have larger pebbles. There are virtually no technical MTB paths in the route, but front fork suspension is not a luxury.

The road route is entirely on paved roads.
