The greatest circle of South Holland - Discover a beautiful part of Holland during this tour with many waterways, authentic bridges, picturesque towns and villages, and surprising nature.

A beautiful round, perfectly outlined by hand – a lovely circle on the map and a super fun, bike-friendly route full of unique highlights. 🚴‍♂️✨

To put this rondo on the map, you will take a water-rich journey through South Holland. You will cycle a lot over and along the water, cross impressive bridges and tunnels (such as the Kiltunnel), and take a ferry three times: at Maassluis (the Scheur), Hekelingen (the Spui), and Bergambacht (the Lek).

Enjoy a huge diversity of landscapes along the way, such as the Reeuwijkse Plassen, and ride past stunning historical heritage filled with Dutch windmills. An absolute must-do along the way is an extra loop over the 'smallest circle of South Holland' in Dordrecht. After about 170km on the pedals, you will return to the starting point. The circle is complete!

Narrow tires? That works perfectly! The route is entirely on paved roads.

Self-guided adventure
Ride this route whenever you like. You don't need to specify a date.

Always check the ferry schedule.

Social Ridesarounds are onspecific datesheld, for which you can specifically register.

What is the starting point?

You can start anywhere on the circle.

Are you coming from further away? If possible, start a catering location on the route, so that you can start or end with a drink and/or a tasty (drink) snack.

What is the recommended riding direction?

Self-guided adventure
This route is designed to be cycled counterclockwise. This is the most beautiful route, with its climbs and views, and the most practical, as there are fewer pedestrian crossings and traffic lights.

Events
At events we cycle counter-clockwise.

What to expect on the route?

The route is entirely about the paved roads. Along the way, you will use a ferry three times: Ferry Maassluis-Rozenburg, Ferry Hekelingen – Nieuw-Beijerland (No ATM, so pay in cash!) and Ferry Service-Bergstoep.

Events
If you are unable to attend an event, you can go on a Self-guided adventure on another date using the digital Rondoguide and route files. Event extras (such as drinks) will be forfeited. No refunds will be provided.
